If you suffer from a chronic medical condition, are aged over 65yrs, or are pregnant you are entitled to a free flu vaccination.
This year, there are three types of flu vaccine depending on your age.
Our clinics will be set up by age band as follows:
Age 18yrs – 64yrs (with a chronic medical condition, age 18yrs or over as at 31/03/19)
Age 65yrs – 74 yrs (65yrs or over as at 31/03/19)
Age 75yrs & over (75yrs or over as at 31/03/19)

Childhood Immunisation Clinic- important change
Our childhood immunisation clinics are now held at Woodside Health Centre. Please ensure you check the date, time and location when you receive an immunisation letter for your child's immunisation. If you need to change, cancel or discuss an immunisation appointment you must call the North West Immunisation helpline on 0141 211 6142.
Our Health Visitor Catherine Haughey is also based at Woodside Health Centre and can be contacted for advice on issues about your child's general health on 0141 531 9216.
General Data Protection
Under the new General Data Protection Regulations 2018, we now require your explicit consent to opt in to receive text messages from us. Please inform the receptionist if you wish to opt in or decline to receiving text messages.
Please note that previous consent is not acceptable.
Pharmacy First - Pharmacy Service
Females aged between 16 - 65 years who suspect they have urinary tract infection can attend their local pharmacy. The Pharmacist will assess and advise if treatment is required.
Patients over the age of 2yrs with minor Impetigo can also be treated by the pharmacist
Scottish Primary Care Information Resource (SPIRE)
On the 7th March 2017, a national campaign will be launched to introduce SPIRE to the public and explain what it means.
It will involve gathering information from GP patient records to help improve health and care services in Scotland.

NEXT OF KIN
Please update you next of kin details with us. This can be very helpful when someone takes unwell suddenly, or if the surgery need to contact you in a mater of urgency.
Text Reminder Service
We send out text messages to remind patients of appointments that have been booked at least 24 hrs in advance. We hope this will prevent patients forgetting to turn up for their appointment or to contact us to cancel appointments that are no longer required. Although we use this reminder service to assist patients about appointments, it is your responsibility to remember your appointment time or to cancel your appointment, giving at least one hours notice, if unable to attend. We also be use this service to send out texts requesting basic health information or to request you to make an appointment if you are due a review.
We are in the process of updating our telephone numbers (see below) so please check at reception to ensure we have the correct telephone number for you as we cant contact you if we dont have the correct mobile number. You will be able to opt out of this service if you wish.
Pertussis (Whooping Cough) - Pregnant women
The Scottish Government introduced a programme that all pregnant women should be vaccinated against pertussis, whooping cough, from 28 weeks of the pregnancy.
