Clinics & Services

We offer the following clinics

pregnant_bpChild Immunisation/ Health Development Clinic:
These are held on Monday afternoons by appointment with our Health Visitor and Doctor.

Diabetes & Asthma Clinics:
Available by appointment with the Practice Nurse.

Travel/Vaccination Clinic:

We regret to advise you that we are unable to offer appointments for travel vaccinations and travel advice.

Travel clinics are not part of the NHS.

Immunisations for Hep A /typhoid allowed under the NHS are currently unavailable due to manufacturing issues, so we are unable to prescribe this vaccination.

We suggest you search the internet for a suitable travel clinic or ask your local pharmacist as some chemists run travel clinics..

You should arrange your travel clinic appointment at least six weeks before you travel.

If you attend a travel clinic it would be helpful if you passed us a copy of your vaccinations  so that we can update your medical records.

Flu Vaccination:
We recommend an Influenza Vaccination for patients over 65 years or patients with diabetes, chronic heart, lung or kidney disease.

Contraceptive Services:
Contraception is provided during normal surgery hours. If you require Emergency contraception please inform the receptionist and you will be seen the same day.

Cervical Smear Tests:
Cancer of the cervix can be prevented and all female patients between the ages of 25 and 64 years of age are advised to have regular smear tests. These are important because they can detect early signs of the disease, which are easily treated. We operate a “call and recall” system to remind you about the test.  Please make an appointment with the Practice Nurse
